A female friend is using a north trust bar but is finding the throw is to long for her reach, is there a way I can modify the set up to make the bar closer to her when it's released and sitting up in the depowered position

Can't think what it's called but do you realize there is a loop
Thingy for this reason. The closer you bring in the bar the more travel on the depower cleat.

... yep, under the trip rope cleat (vario cleat) you pull out the rope, re-position so that the length is shorter or longer. No need to adjust any other bits as the line length trim is still good.

Yep, its that's easy!

cheers,

Robbie

ps check manual, shows you in there on page 4.6.3, download it here:

Thanks Puetz, thats exactly the information I was after, I have mucked around with the Vario cleat position before but was not 100% sure what effect it was giving me. Rather than adjust the throw for the bar i thought it was adjusting the amount of depower I had. I was reluctant to mess with this as i didn't want the effect the factory set trim. Reading those instructions solves the problem. Thanks

Bar too far away ? - pull on the depower system

Bar to close ? - let out the depower system - or pump up a bigger kite !!

Yeh dean it's a good feature. While I'd make a very ugly girl, I prefer a short bar throw and have adjusted mine. Should be a vid somewhere. If not check out the switch website they have a vid showing how to adjust theirs and it's practically the same.
