So, my neighbour got broken into today.

All my kite gear and all his kite gear were in his house.

Randomly, they just decided to take his 148cm Slingshot crossbow board.

The idiots left a brand new 12m 09 Rebel, a good condition 9m 08 Rebel, a Jaimie Pro 128cm board, but decided they wanted a 148cm Slingshot Crossbow!

Anyway, if anyone comes across a second hand Slingshot Crossbow as per the picture going cheap in a bar or somesuch (more than likely in the Sydney area) send us a PM.

These MFs have knocked over our semi's 3 times in the last 6 months - my neighbour twice and us once - two highend DSLRs, one laptop, two compact digital cameras, lots of jewellery, a PSP and various other ****.

I would very much like to have a chat to whoever has been through.

Surely the market for kiting equipment in Sydney can't be that huge. Though based on what I recently saw at Kyeemagh. your board will probably be used for something it was not originally designed for and will be dragged around by some kid who uses it as a boogie board. I recently saw a kid dragging a reasonably new Naish windsurfing board along the concrete and treating it like sh!t.


Maybe engrave your drivers licence number on your boards in the future. I windsurf and all the boards I have have a serial number as they are all made in the same Thai factory. I have taken a photo of the numbers just in case they get stolen.

Yeah - we can't work out why they would want to take a kite board - so big and conspicuous, in the past it has always been small stuff you can carry.

We think most likely they thought it was a wakeboard - that wouldn't be as hard to move down at the pub.

Yep. Your heart is in the right place. That is a nice looking dog. Definitely be a mistake to replace him with something that looked tough. Look at those eyes.

If you live in a dwelling with a lane out the back your home is much more likely to be broken into for a number of reasons. Firstly, thieves have public access to the back of your home. Secondly if the police chase them, they have more of a chance of getting away. Homes on cul de sacs are less likely to be broken into as there is only one road in and out.

No lane out the back, no side lane. The neighbours house has a carpark beside it though - one fence to jump to roll his house, two fences to jump to roll our house.

Once I had my car broken into while I was out kiting , I had two newish kites in the back. The scum theif(probably a junkie) took some loose change, a wind reader but amazinly left the kites behind. I guess he didnt know how to get rid of them.
