Sounds familiar...
There are a few crew who push the envelope on the run from City Beach/Floreat to Scarbs also. They cannot resist every metre of wave face including the paltry 50m stretch right in front of Floreat kiddies beach. Lame and selfish when you have a 5km run that is punter/family free! [}:)]
In fairness 80% just shoot past this stretch but some dlcks pull risky moves right on the shore with unknowning toddlers and parents meteres away. Yes they are impressed with your antics fellas - in their ignorance of what can go wrong!

A few weeks ago when doing the fam thing at Flozzer it was like a circus with 3 kites smashing down on the water 5-10m from shore and drifting through this section with lines all over the place!! One hot launched complete with flailing pilot completely out of control before again smashing down about 3 m from an absolutely shltscared booger (who had predicted this and luckily began retreating back to shore before it happened).
Also to those that do the walk of shame back up through that stretch - is it really too hard to put you kite over the water (as I do) for that small section?? I talked to one kiter doing this- who wasn't any where near the worst offender (explaining that I was also an addict) and his reaction was pretty lacklustre. Plain lazy and selfish to have your kite low over kiddies when the beach drops off towards the water line and the kite lines are just above head height.
It is simply a matter of time until "toddler decapitated by selfish p***k kiter" hits the headlines. Well then we can all moan an b***c about regulations and how all the best beaches are off limits can't we...
It gets me arced up how selfish some crew can be.
