There is quite a bit of contradictory info on Mui Ne on the site. Has anyone been there over the last week in May? And if yes, what were the conditions like?

I have heard there are SW trades at that time and one site says they blew 21 days in May last year and another site says there is almost no chance of strong winds at that time, and one site says it will be p**ssing with rain, and another says their might just be a smattering.

If that is not good has anyone any suggestions where else might work – I am after a little wind and a couple of little waves to play in? It doesn’t have to be a full on 99% gale every day, (although it would be good), as it is a wedding anniversary trip!

I am also investigating Mauritius and the East Coast of Africa.

I would also prefer not to spend too long in a plane – I will be leaving from WA.

Hi,

I'm thinking of going to Mui Ne at the end of April start of May myself and have had the same problem with contradictory information. Most sites seem to suggest up until March is very good and then they differ in opinion after that, between still ok and unlikely to get much wind....

If you haven't already seen these sites they may help.
