I'm not surprised at the stance of the Mullaloo Surf club at all as since they have been the key influential voice against us from the beginning when it started some 3 years ago when we started moving further north down the beach to accommodate them.
Notably last night they tried pushing the safety banner sighting certain incidents that have supposedly occurred in the past and they are as they are just allegations and weak at best.I think she totaled 3 incidents over the whole time, one that was legit , the others well I doubt personally.
I also thought she was slanderous towards Rob Gannon saying he operated an unsafe business, what a b1tch I wished I had a rotten cabbage on hand right then!

I did enjoy the rebuttal comment from one of the council members when they said and I quote. "So given this small frequency of supposed kiting incidents and given that surfing and boogie board incidents are in the 100's every year do you also consider banning these sports in the future as well?"
To say there is no considered compromise by the surf club is nothing new it would be funny though if say kite surfers started en mass joining the club, that would mix things up a bit, but my opinion of there stance on us would never allow me to sit in the same room with them, hell I was annoyed as it was just listening to that stupid Helen woman and her hand bag man last night let alone putting up with that sh1t on a weekly basis.
Also given that the option reply was manipulated by council at the 30th Aug meeting it was good to see that rectified to state that we as a group would consider either of option 1 or 3 .
Great speaking last night by Justin and Dave,I hope the outcome of this is a positive one because I'm not going to any other beach regardless of the decision and I really don't think it fair to be personally put into that position.
