Hey Lance, I don't know if you read this forum....but I'm very keen to know if you got the little incident I had at sunset?

Had the best sail on Sat. at Kitestock from 5:30-6:30 Most people at "done" by 3:30 and there was no one left on the beach by 5:30...except some bogged vehicles (Lance's) and a few guys downwind giving it a go.....but I knew the wind was coming back...by 5:30 is was 18-20 knots and fat. The sun was setting, y'all know the feeling...AND I had the whole place to myself.

Screaming down on the 9m X-Bow (90 kg, 142 FLX )4, flat water, a sunset and a little crowd. I was trying to boost as high as possible..., but once when I "pulled the trigger"...there seemed to be so much tensions and "pop" on the kite that it just sort of exploded and crumpled. Rider and kite were fine, got to beach where my heros picked the soggy beast out of the water and relaunched me.....for yet more magic! Flew the last 20 min. conservative as the lines were inverted. Best session ever and then to find that Lance was filming

So, Lance...if you've got the "explosive crumple," if that's what it was....sell it to Cabrihna, but let me see it too please.

I had the same experience with 12m X-bow in a 25 - 27 k gusty wind. I thought is only a transient or something, however it wasn't so extreme like in gruezzi's case, as I could relaunch by myself.
It looks it is to do with the LE inflation pressure: there are some "rumours" that the LE, and struts, have to be inflated rock hard to avoid inversions and "crumplings" like that.
I am a little bit concern about this, as, in my opinion, the stitches on the x-bow, especially on the LE and struts, are a little bit "flimsy".
