Hi DK - next on the list should be a QR and safety line which function with a bit of sand. I've got the Airush Ultra bar (your design I think) and it's annoying if you get sand on the safety line and then self land. You can never get the safety line back in with even the smallest bit of sand until you wash it off.

Love the extra throw of the bar though!

Hi MikeyG,

The IQR has a much larger centre hole than the Brain 3.0 QR and more importantly is a single clear hole from the spinning handle to the bottom of the QR Body. This improvement was done to exactly address the issue you have seen in resettting the Brain QR - I think you will be very happy once you get a chance to try the new bars.

You are right the Ultra Bar is a personal project - I've run similar trimless setups on my own bars for years, figure if I like it others might too - I'm glad you like it.

Cheers

Agreed, much has improved with the 2020 bar. We used to have a bit of a bottleneck issue with the safety line on the 2019 bars and older. This issue seems to be completely resolved with the 2020 bar. Really liking the new swivel which is smoother and the new quick release which is easier to use (both to release and reassemble).

We have demo bars available by appointment only. PM me if you'd like to try the 2020 Airush bars/kites
