Has anyone used foothooks from NSI or the old airush ones. Are they any good. Got foot caught in a strap on a surfboard which caused an injury so looking at other options. Yes can just go strappless but thats not always ideal if super choppy

I got a set of the NSI when I first started but they break after a while.

The idea is there but I never jumped them as I was still quite new the kiting.

Try them out.

i used predator straps back in 06/07. i'm not sure if they still make them. they're open at the back & release your feet when you crash. the problem i had with them was they were a bit too bulky for moving your feet or gybing, other than that they were a good idea.

^^^ The solution to the gybing problem with predator straps (or hooks really) is to mount the rear strap backwards. This leaves the deck space between the two hooks clear and makes it easy to move your back foot forward. Predator straps need good strong plugs in the board or the plugs pull out.

Talk to Marty at Delta about availability - he uses Predator straps for the back foot

I have the NSI foothooks and they work well - only used them a dozen times so far and I have them both at the front facing back - Im not that good at strapless so I use them to help control the little air to get over waves and then its feet into the surf position for the waves.

Certainly those and the dyna bar have made the transition to strapless (or semi strapless) much much easier.
