The forcast is for near perfect wind conditions NNE for the comp zone and surrounding lake system. A great way to get out of the cities and onto the water with social activites planned also. From Sydney turn off on the Lakes Way just past Buladelah and follow it through to just past Pacific Palms to Tiona and join us for a bite to eat off the bbq and a coldie. From the North take the Forster turn off onto the Lakes Way and follow it through Forster / Tuncurry and out of town towards Pacifi Palms and stop at Tiona.

The comp starts at 12.00 pm but you should get there earlier for the pre comp brief and early wind if it really blows like it should. Saturday night will be a free BBQ for competitors. All sign ups get a NSWKBA State Titles T plus a chance for some great giveaways and placings for the NATIONALS.

See You There

G'day Glen
How long will it takem me to drive there from Sydney?
I have a 40' inflatable slider, do you think there will be enough people around to help put it out and pack it up?
Is it worth bringing it, or my boat (3.4M Zodiac/25hp)?
Forecast sounds great.

Just a note about the organisation of the event.

Competitors must attend the Briefing at 10:30AM Sat Oct 22 at the competition site, on the lakeside at Tiona Tourist Park. NSWKBA committee members will be at the site from 9:30AM to take registrations. Registrations close at 10:30AM or when each draw is full.

See you there

Hi Steve,

Updated forcast:

Friday: North of Port Macquarie: NE 15/20 knots reaching 20/25 knots offshore. South of Port Macquarie: NE 20/30 knots easing to N'ly 15/20 knots late afternoon/evening. Sea: 1/2 metres rising to 2/3 metres south of Port Macquarie. Swell: E/SE 1/1.5 metres. Thunderstorms. Outlook Saturday: SW 10/15 knots tending Ne in the afternoon. Outlook Sunday: SW/SE 10/15 knots tending NE 15/20 knots later.

SW winds work well at Tiona.

If you have room then the slider sounds great aswell as your boat. We will have our 3.8m with 40hp on the water so it would be an awesome combination. There will be plenty of people on hand to help with this gear and the comp zone will be clearly marked on both days.

If you our anybody else is arriving Friday arvo or night at Tiona then please come and meet us at the Beach House for a bite to eat off the BBQ and welcome beverage ala casual till late. (Ask for directions at Tiona reception)

From Sydney it should take about 3 to 3 1/2 hours once you get on the freeway heading north, take the turn off just north of Buladelah (Lakes Way) posted as Bungwal / Seal Rocks and keep following the road through Pacific Palms and around the bends to Tiona. It takes me on a good run in off peak traffic 3 1/2 hours to the Northern Beaches of Sydney from Forster in the TURBO Diesel ute.

Give us a call on 0437 77 5483 at any time if you need any help on the way.

There is a rumour of a very nice kicker heading this way and Saturday night after our poolside BBQ we have shuttle buses to the Palms rec club for those who love to party, so its shaping up to be a great weekend.

Thanks Steve and see you soon

Glen
