Hi Everyone,

The NSWKBA AGM will be held Sept 26 2007 at the Sands Hotel, 1260 Pittwater Rd, Narrabeen, Syndney, starting at 7pm.
www.thesandshotel.com.au/

I encourage any NSW kiter who wants to give something back to the kite community to join the committee to help organise local events and promote safety. Nomination forms will be available on the www.nswkba.com.au website as soon as the site is back up. Nominations have to be returned to the secretary by Sep 19 2007.

If you can't make it to the meeting you can still have your say be giving a PROXY vote to someone who will be there on the night. The form to do this will also be on the website shortly. Proxys have to be returned to the secretary by Sep 25 2007.
The positions available are:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Committee members

Please post any queries here and I'll endeavour to answer them. If you want the forms PM me and I'll email them to you.

Cheers, see you at the AGM
Gav
NSWKBA Vice Pres

User!
35???
You can add a zero at the end mate! Accurate numbers: 350 subscriptions to NSWKBA last year...
There again: keeping it on top!!!
Ian, Dan, Justin, George, Fly and all of my south side kitesurfing mates I haven't seen all winter -and missed big time!-, hope to see you there!
This seemed to be a never ending winter, hibernating was so depressing! Hope a lot of people turn up on the 26th to celebrate the return of our beloved North Easters!!!

It would be great to see more people turn up this year as last year we only had about half a dozen kiters come along (thanks to those who managed to make it).

If you can't turn up please would you send your proxy vote into the Secretary (details on the NSWKBA website) for any of the committee members (names on the NSWKBA website).

Thanks

Good point Steve...
It didn't appear in the nswba newsletter attachments and I've vaguely searched the website and couldn't find info either...

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the delay, I've been away from a computer over in WA. Unfortunately I wasn't kiting, it looked pretty windy most days!

The way the nomination process goes we won't know how is in the running until after the closing of nominations, which as I stated is Sept 19, one week before the AGM.

I'll be standing for re-election, but I know of a few committee members who are resigning/leaving NSW, so there are plenty of spots that will need filling. In the past anyone who was nominated for a position (pres, vice pres, secretary, treasurer) and didn't win the vote has become a committee member. We don't want to turn away anyone who is keen to get involved.

Once the nominations have closed I'll list everyone on www.nswkba.com.au so that people can sort out their proxy votes in time for the meeting. Remember that you have to assign your vote to someone who will be attending on the night, and let them know you voting preference.

Hope this helps, all the forms will be on the NSWKBA website tonight, Chris has managed to put it back together after the hacking.

Cheers
Gav
