Just unwrapped a new 12m Naish Cult (haven't flown it yet). First impressions are all good. Just familiarising myself with the safety systems, and I have a question for other Helix kite owners. My last Naish kite was an X2. On the X2, if you pulled the oh sh!t release on the chicken loop, the bar (ie trim adjuster strap) slid away on the right side front line, until it reached a stopper about 10m up the line. Hand over hand on the safety line with the kite flagged, and the bar came back to you. With luck, tangle free and ready to go again. On the Cult, there is no such stopper on the front flying line. So if I use the safety release on the chicken loop, and try to retrieve the bar after, what's to stop the bar drifting all the way up to the kite? 20 meters of flying lines mixed with bridles = major rats nest?

Their is not if you use the standard system , if you attach the mini fifth line you wont have that problem, or if you use the smart loop you attach the safety to the bottom of the smart loop where the black round balls are.
I personally dont like that because if the rope snaps you loose the whole kite , so for me the mini 5th is the way to go.Its in the side pocket of your bar bag.
