I am experiencing issues with the valves in the struts when I pack down. The struts are designed to stay inflated for emergency pack down in water. I've checked valves and they seem to be in good condition. If I give them a clean they stay inflated for one session.
This is happening with 2 of my kites 2012 park and 2013 park. Anyone having same problem or have any suggestions on how to fix. Cheers

Ive had this issue also with my 2012 park, if you leave the struts inflated, at least 1 of them is deflated by the morning. Obviously the valve is leaking back into the leading edge, as it is fine when the leading edge is inflated (during the session.)

Thanks guys. Yeah, I get in and clean the valves out each session or so. Try to restrict how much sand gets into the bladder. Bit hard when it's blowing 20+ and sand is flying all over my kite while packing down. Guess the solution is to keep cleaning them out each session. Pain in arse. Cheers

I think that the mans worries are more about the struts deflating during an emergency pack down, that could really leave you in the poo..I think that naish should be offering replacement valves to fix the problem or if its an ongoing problem look at changing the octapus system...for my money its more hassle than its worth anyway...

That's right.... I'm more concerned re pack down if in the crapper. I don't leave them inflated over night!!!!!! I agree that the system should be changed or might be forced to change to ozone :)

Changing to ozone is just a natural step in your kiting evolution ;-)
