Have had a chance now to read everything and it all sounds excellent. Now that I have gotten over my initial worries by doing some further research.
I will be coming out in full support of whoever and wherever the events are being run. I will encourage fellow whingers (like myself) from the West to put their energy where it counts and that's into their jobs. There will be a lot of travel necessary from us in the West and that thought process should start now. No whinging, just get stoked about it and make contacts in the east to make it all easier and bring everyone in kiting closer together.

WA has some great riders who need to buckle up, get on a plane and attend to support our growing sport. Two events it is, choice is always a good thing so lets help all concerned and move morward with our full support.

I know what it feels like as an event organiser to have criticism from those who don't see my vision of creating something that I am prepared to put my heart and soul into. There are guys and girls on the East who have put their hand up to do what they can and aiming to do it as good as possible.

I know also what it feels like to be supported and encouraged.

Go for it, you guys on the East rock for throwing your hat in the ring, send us some info on what you are looking at over there. I'm keen to learn a thing or two about where the waves are.

In the end, the sponsors with their money, power and media connections will make the final decision.
The sponsors will determine how the sport of kitesurfing is to be presented to the masses as a national contest, and they will determine who gets crowned King-kiter of Oz.

Long live the King.
