Why does it work better at 2:1? I went to change it because I was always having to hold botton tip of the leading edge from dipping towards the water by keeping some bar pressure on the top of the kite (i.e puling it back). This was strenuous and the guys with which i sail said there's much less bar pressure at 1:1, maning I could kite with ease for longer. I'm going to see Neil ASAP to get the bit, so thanks for the tip. At least I'll have the option of either setting then.
Yeah give it a try you may like it, I didn't, its only going to cost a few $$ to get Neil to make the lines.
It has a shorter depower throw on 2:1 and it starts to feel a bit "doughy" on the 1:1 setting because its a much longer throw to depower and this combined with the 5 million pulleys on the kite leads to a feel that I don't like, but you may prefer it because of the lower bar pressure. I think its something that you'd get used to in time anyway.
