Hi everyone,

Just recently sold my last years kite gear and was wondering what is the best way to get it to Sydney from Melbourne. Austpost wont take the package as it is too long with the board. It would appear that you need to be a business to use a courier. Has anyone had this problem before? Any advice appreciated on how to get the gear to Sydney cheaply.

Thanks in advance.

Use Greyhound/McAffertys/one of the bus services. They let you chuck stuff on the buses. You just need to drop it off at the station and whoever is picking it up at the other end goes to the station to receive it. Cheap as.

You can use courier services like DHL but as a non business customer you have to drop it off at their depot and pay upfront for the consignment. Pick-ups from an address only can happen when you have an account. For the effort of getting to the DHL depot you may as well use the bus service, it will get up there just as quick.

Had good experience with Pack&Send.
Around 30$ for a board from Perth to Melbourne.
