Just to let you all know about a new kiteboard competition tour that is going to take place in Asia over the winter, the dry monsoon time and our best wind months.

It’s called Kiteboard Tour Asia (KTA) and is a pro/am level tour. Each tour stop will hold freestyle and course racing events and will begin in October in China, then pass through Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines and finish in Thailand in March.

The KTA is open to everyone but hopes to give local Asian riders a chance to compete and show off their talents. There are some great local riders out here, but unfortunately they often cannot afford to travel or get visa’s easily to go to other competitions around the world. So we thought why not do something home grown and hopefully get some of these guys noticed. The KTA is going to have both KTA Tour Champions and also Asian Champions, which could be one and the same of course in the end.

So if you are travelling, wintering or working at any point in Asia this winter you are welcome to join us at any or all of the tour stops as a rider, a spectator or even if you fancy lending a hand. Its all pretty new to us all, but we have some good support already and great local organisers in each country, so it should all be a good blast, with some top riding in some great spots – plus of course with a few full on parties thrown into the mix as well !
