Heya guys,
My new slider called 'prince Sam'is out at the pool tomorow and sunday, and most other days it happens to be low tide
its only a shorty, 3.8m and not 2 high but its mad fun,it will be extended on sunday/monday to 7.6m (thats a 1m upramp and 6.6m of pvc flatbar on top) name will also change to 'KING SAM' once the upgrade is complete.

if you wanna hit it, let me know you intend 2, even a wave and a point in its general direction will do. or let me know on here. and i take no responsibity if you hurt yourself on it, off it, under it, next to it, into it, around it or where ever you end up, or your board breaks etc,
yes is stable,
yes it will be behind or on top of a sand bar like it was today,
yes the water is a little shallow if you come off upwind and
yes it is reccomended that you unhook and wear a helmet.
yes you can keep your fins on
no it will not majorly scratch your board,
no it will not fall over (unless you try to push it over!)

only other rule is dont cut anyone off whos making a run for it and hit it with style!!!!

have fun, more to come ;)

Also, first one to land a flat 3 off the entry ramp gets the next one named after them [}:)]

Yes i would like to come to the pool and ride the slider. Do you have launching area there cause my family can come to help, my father is very good cook and will put lunch on if it ok.

I have not masted upwind riding yet but to go downwind is cool and easy, i read that wakeboarding people practice on a trampelinine and i too have been doing rolls and bar passing and tumble flips with no problem.. would like the new one named after me.

I will see all tomorrow wind hopefully, can we ride in fresh water pool ??w big??

Ian,

We feel that it is a requirement for those who do not own this slider to wear a helmet, however as we are the responsible owners of "Sam" we do not have to worry about liability or other such matters. Therefore, we, as the responsible owners of this slider do not require to wear a helmet. The rest of the public who intend on hitting this slider are suggested to wear the set safety precautions such as a helmet, unhooking or impact vest if you feel it's necessary.

Many Thanks

Elizabeth, Rhys, JP, Jake and Jesse.

Ok Guys I understand now , silly me I should have worked that out from your first post , but now everyone knows where they stand because you have clarified the situation for us all.
As being the responsible owners of the Slider having not to worry about liability or such matters is very comforting but a head injury causing serious injury or even death to one of the responsible owners of the Slider is much more of a worry. Just wear the helmet and act responsibily , if you all want to discuss this further we will talk tomorrow.
