Tomorrow (24.01.) pro kiteboarder Sebastian Bubmann will be riding and demonstrating the latest Flysurfer - Kites at the Maroochy river mouth.
The forceast doesn't look too bad for the area, we'll get around 20knots.
Just come by and enjoy the show or give me (0418880509) or Sebastian (0449919639) a call for more details.

G'day Frank

Seb is in the Sydney region for a week beggining 30th Jan, then I leave for the Wave nats on the 5th, I'm willing to bring him up to Newie area on the 2nd or 3rd, which would be better, or doesn't it matter?

Hey guys,

I just registered for myself and will keep you updated which places I'll go to and where you'll get a chance of trying the latest gear.

Today was a great day at Maroochy. Never kited in such a strong current ever before!

Anyways, since it was so good today and we still hope to get going tomorrow in the very low winds because of the current be we'll there again!
So, tomorrow at the 25th I'll be up at Maroochy river mouth.

I hope to see you up there then.

@ Neill, why don't you just come and give it a try?

Hey man, i'd love to, i didn't know you were demo'ing the kites, thought you were just here to spread the love? i'm dead keen to try any new kite i can get my hands on.

anyway i was the bloke on the white/yellow sonic 11m this arvo. you might have noticed me trying to fly to the moon - it's kinda my "thing"

yeah the current is strong hey, when the tide's running out it sure makes going upwind pretty easy although the river mouth there has claimed many boards, kites and people over the years. just today i saw probably 10 people come VERY close to needing a rescue, not to mention those fat fools with the inflatable boat thing that first you, and then later myself, had to drag back in for them. what about those idiot kids who decided to walk out along the sandbar and then just stand there for 15 minutes? one loose footing and they would have got swept straight out the back.

dangerous place to kite there, but an excellent spot. flat water inside, waves out the back. can't lose!

Thanks Sebastian for visiting us at Sandgate yesterday. We were overwhelmed to see a Pro in action and our team riders were thrilled to learn a few tricks from you, and tested the Flysurfer. It was an eye-opener. Thanks again for coming and good luck with your remaining tour.

Sebastian will be in Sydney from the 31st until the 7th of February.
On the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of Feb we are at this stage planning to be at Dolls Pt or Kurnell, maybe even Wanda.

The advance forecasts don't look so promising, and with more people in Sydney it seems better to stay here and not spend hours on the highway to go somewhere with marginal winds.

Sebastian will be around the following weekend too, but I cannot transport him around, any volunteers to take Sebastian to some other locations, like Newcastle/central Coast, or South Coast.
Can anyone on the southside help with accomodation from the 31st till the 6th?
