Yep Morgan Caldwell also sent me this .It has come about after an on beach meeting with Warren Smith Nobbys head lifeguard,Ian Gordon NCC head lifeguard and kiter,myself and Dave Sorenson.

KITEBOARDING GUIDELINES
• Know your ability, limits and equipment capabilities.
• Use a safety leash & quick release system on your kite.
• Consider others and give way to public on the beach.
• Always launch north of wind tower.
• Try & ride parallel to others rather than crossing paths.
• Give way to a kitesurfer surfing a wave or airborne
BE PREPARED – BE KITE SAFE
• Never kitesurf or land south of the new beach access
• Stay well away from flagged patrolled swimming areas.
• Never ride through designated swimming areas.
• Maintain a suitable safety buffer zone between yourself, surfboard riders and others in the water.
• Do not land in the Park
• You are responsible for your safety and the safety of others in your vicinity.
• Be insured by joining NSWKBA. Visit their website and follow the “Safe Kiting Guidelines”. Display your member tag to show you are insured.
IF IT IS TOO CROWDED GO ELSEWHERE
I would add to this that if you have a closer beach to go to such as 2nd creek Redhead or Blacksmiths then i would suggest that you go there rather than making the special trip to Nobbys .Nobby's is getting really crowded in a NE with kiters that live in Newcastle ,having others there that have closer beaches to them adds to the problem.There is a danger that kiting will be banned at Nobby's .
