I checked. The lycra clad anorexics are doing their thing for the following three afternoons. The road and the nobbys carparks are closed for the afternoons, blocked from the roundabout by the bus depot. The course goes right along dixon too so that's out as well. Nobbys and dixon beach are not closed, but it seems the only way to get to nobbys is through the area where the lifeguards are - down the pavilion end of the beach, as the finish line will be just the north side of the lifeguards office in front of the bollards that close off the road. This finish line area will naturally be slick with vomit. Charming.

As appealing as dodging the shiny-legged chunder wonders is to get down to the beach, I am thinking of heading to stockton tomorrow and then if it is still good on saturday going for a mission to nelson bay - apparently jimmys is good in a NE, with flatwater behind the sandbar. Or might go to fingal, but it is a long walk up to the sandbar, and I am lazy.

It is a little annoying that they can effectively close off the entire nobbys beach just so people can see who is better at putting one foot in front of the other.
