Someone made off with a black and red skimboard and leash today (sunday July 3) at boat harbour. If you have second thoughts please email me at [email protected] - no questions asked..

Bugger
I was there yesterday as well and I only remember seeing kiters. Where did you leave the board?

You were on the directional and Peter Lynn kite yes? I remember you coming over from Wanda towing the skim board in question!

Hi Sarc,
Sorry to hear that. One of the nice things about boat is that you can leave a second board on the beach safely.
I was there and left about 4ish. I was the last car to leave of the group of kiters. There was a kite guy playing around on a skimboard (I think it was a skimboard as I was about 50m away) when I left. Was that you? did you loose it after 4? I also though he had a white skim board but can't be sure.

Nicked?

What makes you think it was nicked? Sounds highly unlikely if there was only kiters around.

I bet you left it at the waters edge, and it washed away.Or you simply lost it or left it behind.

Thanks for feedback.
Yes I am the guy on the ram air Venom and yellow directional, dragged the *&%( thing all the way from Cronulla to try it out at boat harbour.
I don't think the tide took it, I left it only 1/2 hour by water edge and it was gone...
Maybe it was the guy on the 4WD who took so much pleasure running over my kite lines the same day?
Anyway anyone sees is, pls give me a yell at [email protected], thanks!

Hi Sarc,
I think you must be refering to me in the 4wd. Apologies for that I just didn't see them in the sand and wouldn't have taken any pleasure running over them. I hope I redeemed myself when I caught your kite after seeing you get dragged along the sand. Anyway as Tim says if you left it at the waters edge its more likely floated off - try the ranger.

I got there around 1pm, and was setting up in front of the cars and didn't see the skimboard on the sand. I remember you coming in to ask if we had seen it a bit later.

It is a shame if someone intentionally took it, but most of the kiters there are pretty well known and aren't the types to nick stuff, maybe it was someone else using the beach?

A special thanks to Alan for rescuing me from my own devices when I tangled my foot on the kite lines... must have tripped on them and powered the kite up somehow - freaky! Never happened to me before, I swear!
I'm calling the ranger up in case he found the skimboard... gotta keep my hopes up.. thanks for advice folks. See you next weekend!

NOT NICKED! A good soul claims to have found it floating around... musta have placed it too close to water's edge. Thanks to all at Wanda!

Sarc hey great to hear the board is back with you after 6 months floating around in the bay? Must have barnacles on the bottom!
