Well I have kite lanboarded the length of 90mile beach. ...... .. . . ..

But not in gippsland!!. 90mile beach in New Zealand.

The full ninety miles wold need a bit of planning - but its doable :-) Best would be a downwinder in an easterly or the alternative would be a SW - summer an easterly is more likely ! We do 10km downwinders and only takes around an hour so you can do the maths - 90 miles is around 150km .....
The exact 90 miles of beach is a bit open to interpretation - but From Lakes Entrance travelling west to the Port Albert Channel is a true 90 miles.
At the eastern end the support crew has to deal with very limited beach access between Lakes Entrance and Lochsport (In fact you will need a boat to get to the start point) - check it out on Google earth. Once west of Mclachlins beach its boat only support (and exit) also .
With a bit of planning I'd do it!! It would be fun !! Question to the forum - I don't carry a GPS so don't know how far I kite in a session but I would have thought 30km of a down winder in the surf would be getting close to a good session and beer o'clock??

My wind preference would be a summer easterly. When the high is centred over Tassie, and its warmish, we get easterlies here around the Gippsland Lakes.

Setting off from say Eastern Beach at Lakes Entrance. Smoko at Loch Sport, lunch at Golden Beach, photos at Seaspray, arvo smoko at McGaurans or Woodside. Crash boat finish at McLoughlins? Hows that?
