Seems Shannon Best has left Best Kiteboarding. Props to an awesome Aussie pioneer. All the Best.

I care what he's doing as he's definitely one of the nicest/ coolest people I've met in this sport. Along with that the fact that he pioneered and helped conceive 99% of what we all know as "wakestyle" behind a kite these days. He was the first guy to pull Peteroses and other toeside tricks behind a kite and an inspiration for most of what I have learnt kiting...

I can only imagine how sick "Best kiteboarding" could have been if Shannon had been the one with sole direction and creative control... Sadly that wasn't the case and is all too much like what happened to Wainman (well that or he just didn't give a **** anymore, which is pretty likely).

It would be sick if Shannon did something new with kiting, but I can't really see it happening.

Still working that one out. I seem to be getting more than my fair share. I think it is time for the gutless wimps that keep red thumbing whatever I say to come forward. Good luck on the intellectual banter if you do...[}:)]

and back to the topic, yes he most definitely pushed the sport in the direction he thought it should go.

I wouldn't worry dude... Usually if you get red thumbed on SB it means you actually know something.

I have gotta agree here.
Shannon didnt ever push his ego to the max (unlike many others we can all think of) but definitely took kiting to a whole new level.
Respect - wherever he is heading ?
