Hello,
I have just got a nobile 555 (128*39). I am rather unimpressed by the ammount of spray which is hitting my face coming off both my back heel and the front of the board.

Has anyone had the same issues?
Is there any way to reduce the spary?
Cheers

G'Day Stupollard,

I just got the 134x41 and havn't had any spray issues as yet.
Do you have the little spacer under your heelside fins to increase the rocker at the tips?
Apparently that's what they are for anyway.

Cheers, Chris.

I have ridden with the spacers in up until now. I took them out this morning to see if it will make a difference, but havn't been out set up like that yet.

I had a 555 (128*39)
It was the best board I've ever had.
It was a little too small for my weight so I sold it.
Never had any problem with it and it was amazing.

I bought the 09 555 (128) and was initially dissapointed. Found it skatey, threw loads of spray and needed excessive pressure on the backfoot.

I widened the stance, fixed the problem for me.

Got one too - 131.
No spray at all, well, not apart from boucning through big chop every now and then, but overall great for spray. Great for just about everything, love the board. Except...

What I don't like are the foot straps. Especially when the board is new, so slippery and just really hard to get snug and right.

They seem to have worn in to an acceptable level now (after about 3 months) but still not as good as the old LF Element I had, like 2005 model straps. They were beautiful.

Anyone else got feedback on 555 straps?

nobile - best boards, worst straps in the history of kiting.

Hey Rusty, you would be better off using footstraps on a board, they work good, don't know where you would use footstarps on a board. Then again you might try some air in your leading edge too.

Lovey, that's a big call. What about those straps you made for your first board. What were they? rope with a rubber tube around it or was it the thongs stuck to the marine ply board. I'll admit though the Nobile straps aren't the most comfortable I've had but they arent the worst either.

The 09 555 is one of the least skaty boards i have ever ridden thay have a huge concave bottom and massive fins, skatey? did you put the fins on? the right way?
I have found the 555 to be one of the most user friendly boards ever tracking upwind easily no spray handle the chop well with great flex through the board and they handle extremely well riding slow or fast. The board size selector on their site is spot on the boards they recomend are probably bigger than what you would normaly ride but i found after following their advise my ridding was more enjoyable and i was progressing faster.

The 666 is one of the best boards on the market give one a demo.
