I only ever see one of these in WA....and it is loved.

The skim board looks cool, but pricey.

weird"I have never seen them but they look pretty cool"

Sounds like something a blind guy would say!

That reminds me of a joke "I see" said the blind man who couldnt see at all.

Bad joke I know. The real joke here is the price of the Nobile boards!

Kitepower stocks Nobile boards.
We are not keen to hold any of the Shinns though, because the price is a little on the high side at around $1450
The rest are very reasonable though, check them out.

I saw the 07 range at the boardsports flop in Sydney yesterday, the Shinn has the thinnest rail/edge of any board I have seen. They are amazing well finished and presented.

We have demo's of a couple of the boards.

Hiya Steve,

Where there any Mutant style boards there ?, or are they not so in vogue at the moment ?

It's like an old habit I just don't won;t to give up, so I will continue to ride these great all round boards. I will also have a surfboard for when it's "down the line" and that will be my two board quiver.

I know Naish still do the "Alien" but what other brands are doing current model mutant style boards and what feedback have you heard ?

G'day Ian

Underground still do their Firebird mutants, special order though.
Naish Alien I think there will be a few imported, but if you want one get a deposit down with someone soon.
I have not heard any feedback mate, almost no-one rides them. Surfboards are gaining popularity, and all the main brands have refined there offerings in that area for 07, otherwise mutants have mutated and become tt's!

Sure to be a few from other less well known brands and some customs, you may have to look hard for a replacement ride??

I ride the 666 ptex "06" 132x40 and love it, the ptex edition came out with a ptex bottom for kickers and sliders and extra inserts for bindings, I have been using foot straps with it.

It gets going in the light winds but has heaps of control when its cranking. I ride in chop and the board feels real smooth to ride. The foot pads get heaps of comments on there feel. I mainly do unhooked tricks and the pop is excellant, even in light winds.

The price maybe up there but, but the technolgy gone into the boards is awsome.

Test ride one, and you prob wont give it back

For the 2006 models the 666 rocks! i have both ptex and none ptex bottom models, Ptex edition is a bit heavier but feels much more indestructable.
My reveiw is here....

I had a look on the web sight and they didn't mention anything about ptex?
is that an " extra" for 06 or was it marketed up front as a variation of the 666 model? thanks

The 666 ptex for 06, was the same shape and design as the normal 666 just that it has a differant flex pattern for riding with boots and of course the ptex bottom for hitting kickers and sliders. Also only in one size 132x40.
I dont think they are making the ptex model this year.

Hey Guy's,

I demo'd the 666 132x40 when I was up in Cairns and totally loved it! both in crap wind and when it was ripping, felt ace with the foot straps and real easy to cruise over the chop...
All good! would love to get my hands on one, just need to save some cash first!

i have just bought an 06 555 122 and it ****s on anything i have ridden. I sold my 06 jaime Pro to buy it and it was a good move. it is super smooth in chop and you can load it up to the max. In comparison i also bought an 07 cesar pro which while being a good board cannot match the nobile for performance.

Hi all,
Glad to hear some of you have had a chance to try the boards and like them.
The PTEX edition was a special for 2006 and at the moment it is not in the range for 2007.
Should there be demand for it it is quite possible to produce the 2007 666 in a PTEX version.
We don't make Mutants. In the past I enjoyed to ride Mutants as they were a great compromise for waves, freestyle etc but in the recent years I have found that I prefer to ride a Twin tip for freestyle and a surfboard for waves...... judging by what I see on the water I am not the only one to reach this point!
Regards
Shinn

Have been riding an 06 128 555 for the past week in heavy wind. Was fortunate enough to receive it on loan until my new 07 129 666 arrives! In many ways it feels a lot like my last board, a Jaime Pro M (Jaime 2cm smaller length and width), Nobile feels better in chop and offers a bit smoother more comfortable ride. Great all around board!
