Hi Rooey,
I was going to start a new thread asking for some advice on where to kiter in noosa cause i am up there from adelaide on the 20th-22nd, but i guess the rivermouth would be the spot on the saturday then. any other spots around that are worth a look?
i am in noosa for 2 nights then down at coolum for 4, what would be the best kite size to bring? (85kg int rider, prob only bring my tt unless the airline lets me bring the srt as well..)
any help much appreciated

Leave your kite at home and bring a kayak or a surf board. Noosa needs NE winds to work. Prevailing winds at this time of year are SW or W.

has anyone asked the question, how will they police the new "ban"

council officers seem to have turned a blind eye to wello lately.
e.g. everyone rigs everywhere above the high tide mark even though it is fully banned.

and noosa rivermouth is qld transport area enforced by waterpolice, not council.

i'm sure they want a new mountain of paperwork(public servants yeah baby give me more work!)

think carefully about the hype of this.

p.s. enjoy your barbee, make sure you spend a few extra bucks on quality sausages!

rooey, count me in.... will bring the family....got to ask though????if the media is there and there is a small chance of a NE breeze ...is it wise to suggest that kiters can ride???? this to me is just asking for "MURPHY and his mates" to give the media the wrong idea...if you are going to have something go wrong, I would think that it is more likely to happen in front of a camera. I would suggest that for the day kiters be asked to limit their activities on the water (showing that kiters can self regulate), appoint an MC or OOD for the rally and request through the forums that everyone park their cars away from the area and hoof it in (nice walk along the beach or paths...perfect.... and no fighting over car park spots.)

Oh yeh on the point of council control..... you might not get policed all the time...but damage something or hurt someone (including yourself)and watch it hit the fan.

Dont allow it to be banned in the first place. see ya there. high noon. Rob.
