Gday folks!
Am looking at these two boards - both 2006 models and 128 long (I'm too poor to buy new).
I'm riding mostly in surf therfore want something reasonably forgiving but I am starting to get my wave riding skills going a bit better. My 04 Airrush switch (orange one) is just too stiff.
Any advice/experience with these boards would be much appreciated.
Thanks a bunch!

G'Day Steve,
I have not had any experience with the Jaime Pro, however I did just purchase and Underground flx 32. On my first session i found the board a little strange ( i seemed to continually nose dive i just couldnt work I out and finished very disappointed ) A few changes to the stance setup later and this board really started to perform, the board has heaps of flex throughout but particually in the ends , generates heaps of pop and is extremely well put together and finished. So far I have only ridden this board in some small waves 3-4 ft and found that the board worked really well ( especially with the 50mm fins ). From all reports the NOrth JAime Pro is also a killer board and I dont think you would regret buying either. my 2cents worth

I have the old Jamie Pro, the one that's orange underneath, 2004 I think? Its the only board I've used, had a quick go of last years model, only a couple of tacks on dead flat water, it felt stiffer to me. My mate just got the FLX32, it feels great. On my board I could feel every little ripple hitting the board but the FLX feels like a hot knife through butter.
I'm sure either will put a smile on yer dial.

flx 132 double concave is the way to go, been riding it now for 6 months and rate it as the best board I have ever owned/demo'd etc. Great in waves, chop, flat, you name it. Plenty of pop and the flex in the tips increases the great surf/wake like feel incredibly...good board for sure..

Test it before you buy. I have the original 132 FLX which is a great board. I've tested the latest 132 on 2 separate occasions now and really disliked it... I'm glad I didn't just go out and buy it.... Have a look at the North Crossride.... it rocks.

the single concave flx is a great board but not so good in the waves; it slides out on bottom turns and carves, in bigger waves you can hardly hold an edge. the double concave model sticks a lot better and is still awesome on flat water.

I'll have to go against the grain here and say the jamie pro, hands down.
I've ridden the 05/ 06 in both flx / jamie and for me there isn't even a comparison. The north edges way better, pops harder and i found it better in chop...but hey, that's only me.

hey steve_worm
Ive had an 2006 flx 142 for about 7 months now, and totaly love it...
i had initaly thought that the board would be to flat and square on the ends to ride in the surf.
As Harry Potter says a few adjustments and its all sweet..... Ive riden heaps of sessions in the surf on this board and have never had any probs with it sliding out, as long as you keep a good edge..
it has excelent flex so it carves wickedly too...
but in saying that if you want the real feel of a surfboard get a surfboard!!! or a kite surfboard. After seeing the Lennox head wave comp i,m convinced that if you want to ride waves get a surfboard..
