Hey
Has anyone flown the 06 vegas yet? What is the deal with the cambattens and waves? Wouldnt there be an increased chance of tearing the canopy if the kite is dropped in the surf? Are they easy to replace/repair?
Cheers

the vegas ones are different from the rhino ones. But they can be slid out anyway and you can get spares.
If it goes down in the waves I can't really see a situation where the battens would increase the risk. If it gets nailed a whole panel is going to blowout anyway.
Reports are that the vegas is a grunty ****er and although quick with alot of depower isn't that good for waves.

I wouldn't call the vegas a grunty %^&*er but hey thats just me.
Cam battens are well protected from punch through the canopy if thats what you mean in the surf.
Still has the silly iron heart bar though! It would rock with a slingy bar.... yumm.
