General rant from around the globe.

4th day of jetlag and I am hearing all these great stories of today and pretty much the next few days green arrows. Not going to help my mood at all. Wish I was there instead of wearing winter clothes and losing my tan lines
And to rub it in my kiterman is using MY kite! [}:)]

Gees fellas your all heart - spare this gal a thought tomorrow when you head back out - at least I don't have to deal with the invasion of tourists (yeah thats the best I got to console myself with -as the bottom lip drops.) I thought I would suss out some places here - nada unless I head south to South Tx or Mexico and no time for that.

Just spoke to Mr 08Kiterz - he laughed that I am sooking up -
"Make the most of it man" - you are back to work in a day and when I get home (there better be arrows of the flavour green) and I will be boasting. Just need to find a little posse of kiters to keep me company while he works! - ouch - I will even stock up on HIS home brew for apres kiting.........

Morg?

insider info - we are looking at lobbing into your area at Elliott Heads - whats the deal with accommodation - please dont say Bunderberg - too far to drive - we will want to crack a few beers after a session without having to worry about driving.

There's not a lot availiable other than some villas in the caravan park which arn't bad. I'd never recommend someone stay in bundy I only go there myself if i really can't avoid it. When are you thinking of showing up? May be able to help out with the granny flat downstairs at ours if the family haven't already booked it.

Ha!
Well thats awesome the brew is still there - more for me to pass out when I get home! He will have you converted from the corona's and onto the home brews soon enough!

Trying to get the low carb variety is proving a challenge though - did he have the dip & bikkies there for you tee hee

Hey Morg
Thanks for that - we were looking at a long weekend - Australia day would work but we have pooches to counter in so may not suit most places. Both love the water - one is non plussed with the kites - the other however needs a little time around them to realise that the sky is not going to fall in on her (collie). HA cheers man.

12/12 Update

The system four days ago in the NW is going to make it tomorrow. The offshore buoys will start ringing around 0600. There will be a heavy dose of North in the wind so lets call it NNW. The coast will be the best place for kiteboarding with OB and Tomales getting good wind all day Saturday. Be sure to check the thermometer too. That heavy North is bringing the temperature down with it. Don't expect it to get over 50 F on the coast. Need a new O'Neill or Pryde wetsuit stop by Kite Wind Surf. I expect the wind will work at some riding areas in the San Francisco Bay as well. Third should be over 15 by noon and maybe earlier. Berkeley has a good chance as well most likely a 15 or 20 degree Northerly shift. Alameda has a 50% chance of getting over 15. If Berkeley gets over 20 then Alameda will most likely have enough. The image below is what it will look like at it's best tomorrow."

Take your wetsuit and a flask with something strong in it. (Assuming you are going to get brave at least once and get wet).

Enjoy the hills and trams man

Ewan man you would have serious withdrawals if I were you - thats toooooo long to go without a fix. Glad to hear you get a board in - I would love to try it again - maybe I can get the old fellas bews and start selling them at a dollar a pop to get a snow board kitty collection - oh bugger he may have got the 3G signal working by now - "Hi Hon - just kidding on the brews - can you leave my bloody kite alone purleese though?"

I've seen dogs in the caravan park a few times but am not sure of their policy. The villas are right on the beach and a few years ago we put some friends in them and it was only 70 bucks a night.
We have our land lord using the granny flat over australia day but have a dog friendly fully fenced yard if you wanted to dump them out the back while you are here.

You talking 4legged or trailerpark locals?

*Just kidding - I too have lived in a home that had to have the foundations pumped up every now and again. Luckily it was only when the olds made us kids live like the Griswolds at Coffs on summer holiday and not everyday.
