Hey all,

I just bought bout a 15m Ozone Instinct Sport 2007 (which is awesome by the way), and I am having small issues with the depower line.

When it is attached to the little metal ring, it seems to spin around the lines, which makes it extremely hard to trim as you need to unwind it before you can pull the depower.

Then when I detach the line from the metal ring, so it hangs loose, it is too far away to reach whilst riding, so I can't depower then either.

Has anyone else come across this problem and found a solution?

common problem in 07 Ozone...solution - buy 08 model or even better, buy the new 09's when they come out.

I didn't get on with that trimmer, I shortened mine as much as possible, to a similar arrangement to the 2008 bar.
It sounds like you have been riding with the trim strap undone from where it is velcro'd to the metal ring that the depower rope goes through?
You shouldn't need to do that, I think the velcro is mainly there as a release incase your bar gets stuck in the trimmer.
I would shorten the black trim strap as much as possible, this will minimise it twisting around.
It is also pretty easy to upgrade to the megatron chickenloop, and replace the long flappy trimmer with a short piece of beal line.

Thanks Tobes. Do I need to get the megatron chickenloop to get the beal line?

I don't mind the checkenloop ane QR that is standard, and don't want to pay $60 if I don't have to.

I'll post a picture of my modified bar soon.
The megatron sells for $49 I think, huge improvement, the swivel below the bar especially.
The long flappy trimmer is so that folks with short arms can still reach it.

i just quickly untwist mine you only need to do it a couple of times in a session and you get pretty quick at it with practice.
take a bit more time setting out and the twists will be minimal.
