Excelent ideas!!
Kiteboy: Will do this in future.
Bigtone: Will clamp from now on...and spit on the ring!
Everyone else: thanks a heap. under inflated and bar possilbly too light. Will try the tip bend for test before launching MAX V
Archie: Vaild point mate. I felt I had this experience and came to mostly the same conclusion, (operator). Or a combination of all the above at least. My last post was a question regarding stalling behavior on Edges, because of this likelyhood. Plus it wasnt really the right kite for the pretty dismall conditions I was testing in. largish ocean swell, up and down all day, but was still super fun, chop hoppin for hours.
I still managed one of the best mornings on the kites in a long time, issues aside.
A few observations that I really loved about this kite when it all came good: (no expert)

The race bar, which initially thought I would hate. The trim was very precise and very easy. A bar is something I thought I would never feel passionate enough to comment on but it was a very nice change.

Sheeting was quite tame compared to past sessions on the rebel.(13m). Kinda contradicts earlier comments but just felt smoother reactions.

One handed bar control. Tacking all the way out through this ocean swell to about.....398 meters...... and turning and chasing the swell back in using one hand on the bar all the way was a first for me, and a huge rush...Again, this was on the light bar pressure so probably part of my issues.
Very excited to get them out in some clean wind and some flat water.
