Hi Craig

Get a spray bottle and fill it with 15-20 drops of any clear detergent and water. Then spray the leading edge or strut that deflates. Check the valve first, then the area that contact the ground when you are pumping up the kite or that hits the ground when you crash or self launch or land. This is where 95% of punctures are in my experience.
Sometimes you only need to pull a bit of the bladder out of the kite, depending on where the puncture is. Knowing how and when is more than I can describe in writing, sorry. We guarantee all our repairs if you have any trouble or can't be bothered?

hi, as mentioned the detergent method works to find the leak,or what side saving you from removing all of bladder, when located cut ties on tube from le to struts and push through valves into le, open wingtip to expose end of bladder take note how this is folded and velcrowed, make a loop with string and attatch to bladder or just use your line off your bar, open access point near inflate valve, pull your bladder through untill it comes completly through, partly inflate bladder to find hole, clean site with alc wipe then use tearaid patch , all is in your kite repair pack, then reverse the procedure ensuring you dont twist your bladder, might seem a bit complicated but its as easy as, any dramas let me know

Cheers guys appreciate the pointers, I found the tutorial on flyozone, I have tried to locate the puncture but part of the problem is I have no idea how it happened, kite was pumped up on te beach, I went out on a different kite came back and it was flat so can only assume someone stepped on it and there was something sharp underneath. Will keep u posted on how I get on and maybe take some shots of the process as the ozone video is a bit out of date for the current c4 one pump system

Thanks
Craig

self launch can be the culprit, if you have to take out the main valve seperate the valve from inside the leading edge it has velcro which holds it in place , if your struggling i know a gynaecologist

one pump bladders are a pain in the arse!. if you have to take the whole thing out. Tie something to the end of the bladder when you pull it out like a rope. Then whe you need to get it back in you can use the rope to pull the bladder through.

the hardest part is aligning the one pump nipples up and getting the bladder in there without twists! its a frreaken nnnnnn nn nn nightmare.

C4's are prone to having their inflate valve twisted. There is a Velcro patch around the valve and when tightening the valve tends to move around on the Velcro, everytime you tighten it it get spun more and more. Works like a ratchet.
Untill a leak starts or completly rips the valve off. And you have no idea it was even twisted.

Open the leading edge zipper and chech out the valve to see if it's twisted. I'd put money on it

Thanks troyrotor I will check that first, it's a 13m and the amount of work involved in dismantling and putting the kite back together is putting me off starting it!!
