I'm no comp expert, but if you have video footage, you should be able to score the trick, and add it to the total. Why re-run the heat. Makes no sense. NO re-runs.
I watch heaps of ASP (surfing) on fuel. Loads of waves are scored via video footage and from different camera angles. Sometimes because you are watching one person riding a wave and then some is riding another at the same time. Other times the judges actually use the video footage and compare the 2 side by side to make sure they get the right scores.
Can you imagine getting a perfect 10 wave, and be told "oh we need to re-run the heat coz some of the judges were looking in the other direction and missed some of the heat during one manuveur.
Your performance is your performance, use the tools you have to get the scoring right. If the trick was video captured, then its add the score to the total.
-Maybe there needs to be camera persons filming each rider for the duration of the heat. That way no tricks get missed. PKRA needs to do something like that to avoid this type of situations.
Right?!?
yea sounds fair, at the moment there is only one video angle of the trick. The issue with that is you can't see what the kite is doing and all the other variables, so it was hard to score the trick.. I think in the future that needs to be addressed though.
