(I am posting this on the kiting forum on the basis many of you surf ...)
Has anyone been to PNG, and if so, any feedback?

nusa island resort, waves are nice - wind is not. I'll be there in October for the PNG surfing association AGM. The season (surf) should kick in november some time.
There are a couple of surf tour operators in new ireland province, Nusa being the bigger of the lot, accommodation is nice bungalow style.
check the SUP forum, i know they had a big crew go to kavieng last season. should be a big write up in there.

jjd - I did a surf trip for a week to Vanimo - amazing part of the world and great people especially Big Dave...
Its worth a stop over if conditions are good - the right was awesome and the left was something else!
