If you have the boat then I will be there. Would not want to have that distance of swim if something gos wrong. Will Chris be bring the "storm trooper" or do you have transport back arranged (take ferry maybe)?

Hopefully there is more wind than the likely 10 knots...

Hey you guys will have to watch th wind shadows off the headland and lion island would you not?
Plus the tide, sounds a challenge though.
I'm up the far north coast and and we did one from Ballina to Flat Rock around a couple of little headlands.
Don't know if I will do it again, downwinders on beaches are better for me, bit safer if you got no boat.

yeh im a bit worried about the windshadows. the tide shouldnt be to much worry because we will have a boat so if anything goes wrong the boat can save us. yeh downwinders on beaches are awesome this one is just a big mission really. anyone done the merimbula to pambula? that is pretty fun

anyone done a palmy to manly type run?
summer NE should be kinda right for it but its a bit of a run.

though it'd have to be more comfortable then doing it by boat.

Yeah I have. Palmy to Manly is very doable in a NEster. The Palmy to Newport part is the most boring as it's hard to get into any of the beaches, but from then on it's great fun!

Doesn't take as long as you'd think either.

Shame about the wind.
I took Friday off and went down South to Culburra. Man that place is still my fav with such choice of options. Unfortunately the wind was either too light or gusting like crazy. Ended up getting hit with one rain shower after another. It is an odd feeling to be kiting in a squall with the rain pelting down on you but still enough wind to be getting air. Overall it was more of a nice drive then a day of kiting.

dunno, maybe 20 to 25 knts. Very comfy on the 12m and not that gusty for a winter wind.
A rain squall killed it at 2pm though.
