Have a funny story to tell, and also a warning for all the Brighton-Le-Sands kitesurfers.
Got there yesterday arvo. I didn't go to the first car park as I'm used to, but further up down the shark net. (Important to mention in my story: did so following a conversation with Chronic the day before, who was saying "Em, don't go to the 1st car park, just park at Brighton" and I was like "it's a pain to park and I think it's a clearway" to which he replied "no, it's all sweet, park along the sidewalk, everybody does it!" (THANKS MATE!)). So I parked my car along the sidewalk and went out.
Went to check the dark side, but then realised it wasn't any windier there at all (it was actually weaker), so thought it might be wise to head right back to Brighton: good call, the wind was dropping off and died spot on just as I made it back to the beach!
Craig came in in the same time, and as we saw Dave was rigging his kite, we -of course- blamed him for killing the wind.
That's when he said: "Well, dunno if it's me who killed the wind, but just to let you know, if your car's parked up there, its gone too... They're toeing them"
I turned sort of green... And ran.
There were no car's left... But mine that the guy was nicely loading on his truck!!!
"Hm... Excuse me Sir.. I believe this thing here is mine... Oops..."
3 smiles and 10 thank you so much later, I drove my car somewhere else (with a fine of an unknown amount (anyone knows how much it's going to hurt?)), and was back on the beach right when the wind kicked back in. SWEET AS.
So apologies for anyone who was kiting at Botany yesterday... When the wind died at 4:30pm, it was my fault... It wanted me to be able to drive back home!

But now, take it for known that if you do park along the sidewalk at Brighton (and I know a lot of you do)... You may not find your car at the end of your session...
Actually considered reading the sign (good thinking Em!): it's a clearway from 3pm... (by the way Chronic, is that cool with you if I send you my fine when it gets here???

)
Also if you can't park there, where are you supposed to?
Couldn't find a park in any close street, ended up miles away... Any tip?
