would be good to have some prior notice like maybe a few weeks befor e not the day before, people have plans and other comitments for tomorrow.

With a gusty Easterly blowing this morning & only a southerly change predicted during the afternoon conditions would be unsafe as well as unsuitable for kiting on Perth Waters.
With no seabreeze forecast at all, even on the coast, the committee has flagged the event to save everyone the effort of fronting up with virtually no chance of making it a success.
