Hi fellow kite surfers,
I'm a Sydneyside kite surfer that will be spending next week in Perth and surrounds.
I'd appreciate some tips on the best spot to go kiting with northerly's and westerly's and perhaps some nice places close by to stay as well if you happen to know any...
I prefer flat water but am comforatable in upto 3ft.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers,
Michael

hey dude
northerly is pretty much beach wind, so anywhere on the coast is generally good... i really like cottesloe beach south, or scarborough. if you really like flat water woodmans point past fremantle, havent been there in a northerly myself but the west beach should be protected cross shore and if its anything like the northside of woodies in a southerly its the best place ive kited in the world. if there is any easterly in it then point walter is brilliant for flat water but really scetchy wind , take it from my example offshore side can meen one hell of a swim if things go wrong :). Hope this helps

perth is crap for kiting. I wouldn't even bother to bringing your gear and if you do then north of the city is by FAR the best.
