Im off to Plantation Island for a family holiday, june/july, anyone been kiting there?
Whats it like for wind that time of year?

If you like flat water there is a great sand spit just off plantation with butter smooth water.. good surf at wilkes passage too.. good spot to go for family holiday. Dont take your SUP though.. you dont want to get punched out 20 ks out to sea

Not much wind around that area. Make a trip up north then you'll find it

Thanks for your help, might just take my 13m, Im not sure I can get a pass out for any day trips, but ya never know!

I went to plantation in August last year an surfed cloudbreak. it was awsome! but as said earlyier there is a sand band about a five minute boat ride were i did some diving an there was alot of kiters as im only getting into the sport now id love to go back.

i was there learning to kite in late july/early august 2004 and scored 5 days out of 10 for wind
