I am looking to take the family away in late june so I need a resort for wife and kid, but would like to kite also. I know people used to go there to windsurf has anyone been there to kite Thanks Rod

We went as a family holiday last year - great for kitesurfing when the wind is in. Of the point out into the channel is the best ( DO NOT try and kiteboard in the lagoon at the end of the runway - it is gusty and horrible) There is a coral/ sand bar halfway out in the channel which the guys from the resort will take you out too to set up your gear or launch of the point but there is a lot of rock and coral. I got about 3 days of good wind out the 7 we stayed- hope you have more luck than me.....

I think Aug/Sept is the best time. Went a few years ago but only got 1 kite in (the week before it was windy 7 days straight).
Agree with VJ, get a ride to the sandbar or walk up to the point.
