Coming up for 9 days starting 16th August - wind graphs for Cairns are starting to turn very green

Having been to PD before I know that sometimes the wind only blows on the reef and not in PD itself.

Anyone there tell me what the conditions are like at the moment & whether the wind is making it to the coast?

Its all good. Has a ripper of a day at Yorkies today and the next 5 to 6 days look great. Having said that, FNQ can be great one day and crap the next. Hope you score when up here.

The Creek was very,very good but I thought we were keeping it quiet?
Had a great day, a couple of well powered tricks, winded myself and even did a half decent jump!
I see you brought out the Christmas Kite, bit early or are you just getting ready for your next kite?
This could be a good week........

Alas Mr Plow and Fozzy it may be a case of "You shoulda been here last week." Will keep everything crossed for you, it has been crappy for so long maybe it is all about to change for us.

Port was sick today, sat on about 20kts from lunch time onwards, looks like it's going to be good for the next week or so, hope you catch some of it.

Arriving Saturday at Cairns (staying Port D) leaving Monday morning so wanting to get amongst it straight away. So can anyone give us the heads up on the best spots first up

South end of Four Mile Beach, great place to kite. Look up Brett form Windswell. Have a look at his site for more info.

I wish I had read my post last night before I posted it. Bloody alcohol!
Yorkies and all surrounding areas are not very good, Port Douglas is fantastic. Actually, now that I think about it I even saw some serious localism at Cairns today, about time though as we've had enough visitors for a while.......
