I thought about putting some sort of adhesive sticker on but was worried about the potential impact to kite performance (am I being silly?!).
Any of you sponsored pro's have some tips?!
Cheers
screen printing/silk screening.
Problem is polyester and nylon are hard to print onto. Need some specialist die.
For one offs (or a few) Use a stencil and paint the die on with a brush. Stenciling is a peice of piss, plenty of tutorials on the net. A good A0 plotter, some cardboard and an exacto knife will do the job.
But make sure you get the right silk screening paint. I believe ripstop may need some sort of heat treatment first, and manufacturers put the logos on the material first before sewing. Most ripstops have a coating on them, but I think kite material only has the coating on one side (or else the manufacturers wouldnt be able to print on them).
Best is to just give it a go.
