I recieved an email this week about the KPWT events for 2008. I noticed that the prize money has not really increased in the time that it has been running. Why do you think this is? How do you think this could change?
I think the PKRA is the same.

I have noticed that too, I guess it all comes down to sponsorship. Companies who sponsor events probably sign a contract for a period of time, say 5 years, and by doing this will sponsor $xxxxx.00 for the period of time in the contract. I have notice that the KPWT have a WAVE MASTERS event in Portugal with EUR 70,000 prize money for the one event.

Just noticed that 2007 NC event prize money was $35,000 with Waves, Freestyle, Big Air and Speed Crossing. This year prize money is $50,000 with Waves, Freestyle and Course Racing....... MORE MONEY - NEW SPONSOR
