I had a near fatal motorbike accident in India, back in 1994, had insurance but because I was pillion passenger on a bike with an Indian licenced driver I was not covered. If it had been an Australian licensed driver I would have been covered. Luckily my Grandmother had some spare cash to repatriate me for about $20k. I would likely be an amputee if it hadn't been for her. But that's beside the point : )
I mainly want coverage for myself (not privately health insured) if I bust a knee or amputation for example and for compensating injury to others or their gear; and then the rest. WeirdEd, that sounds like AAMI?
