hmmm, they do go a long way when your depower line snaps and your safety is on the chicken loop.

The photo makes that spot look so inviting.

I would say they actually rarely go along way when you snap a leash or depower... you have to get pretty unlucky.

one of mine went a good 400m when the depower broke, just sat in the sky and kept flying backwards, freakay!

yeah, i've had it happen once or twice before where it has gone a long way, every other time its come down maybe max 50m away

ive had it happen to me my bar hit a a bystander in the head before my kite got tangle in a boat shed luckly the no damage to the kite and only mild concussion to the bystander but i did snap my 5th line and lost 3 lines to the sharp tin roof of the boat shed

fell strait away, but kite would of only been a few meters from power lines.

Power company was called out, cut down with HV tools ! Kite was powered up with wind and 11,000 volts.....sweet....but deadly !!!
