4 days kiting back to back last week, 3 days already this week and the weekend looking good as well, dusted off the 11m and reminded myself why kiting is so much fun once the wind gets above 20 knots!

How are the other QLD crew going?

peace from the island

Good to see the consistant Se's are starting to kick in again, but still waiting for those N'lys to re-appear... We seemed to miss them this season...

Predictions are looking good so far Let's see how long they stay yellow and green and not change to red lol

Hey Andy,
With the wind we should get this arvo, perhaps you could do a downwinder from Maggie to kite with the guys at Townsville

mate I'm knackered, I think I'd get about as far as the shipping channel and then have to body drag down wind the rest of the way!

Thanks for the invite - new bub here so family committments make it a bit easier to just pop down to the local spot.

2 hours again yesterday evening on the 11m, slogging through the gusts....sore arms, sore legs, sore abs...but big smiles all round! There were some good sized waves just off Nelly Bay yesterday btw.

and a huge old green turtle that I saw about 4 times.

Good to see you Townsville folk are getting the wind. Rain, gusty and offshore at time rubbish here at Cairns. Mind you, back at work today and the place goes off. Bloody typical. Off tomorrow and no doubt turn to crap again. Murphy's Law.

Andy,
I didn't get out to Pallarenda until late (4:30) on both Saturday & Sunday, by then the wind had settled a little. I am told that a few guys were maxed out on 8's earlier on Saturday. Its good to see some of the smaller kites get dusted off and taken for a blast.
Today there was a heap of kites at Pallarenda, looked like a demo day for Best. Didn't see any Hellfish though

Lots of wind Saturday afternoon. Pretty gusty, quite a few kites out. I went out yesterday for a while between 1 and 2:30. Good wind and not as gusty. Again, quite a few kites out. Perfect for me on the 13. Although I think the wind started gusting stronger as I was packing up. BEST was having a bit of a demo day, as Shannon was in town. There was a 9m Waroo out on the water. Likuid had a go on it. First local kiter I've seen on a bow kite!

So Josh, what did you reckon of the Waroo?

Wind has been doing much the same here, peaking between 2 and 4pm. I rigged up sunday arvo just as it died here and went NE. Still amped off last week though, thursday and friday were a lot of fun.

heheh was pretty good.. nice for boostin bit iffy on wakestyle on em.. liked it tho. definatly has potentional.. maybe i need a bit more time on it to get used to.. the reluanch is just stupid tho. i put it down a couple times straigh leading edge down and it just rolls over on its own and drags to end of window ready for launch
had another sesh at alva on a 12m waroo and 13m yarga pro today.. was blowing insanely but thats another story
