Hey, I am finding that after I dive my kite and then lock it in to the correct flying angle after I am up and riding, it tends to fly ahead of me and ends up outside of the powerzone....it will sit in the right spot for a bit and then slowly races ahead of me to the edge of the window....

Any tips on keeping it directly in front of me? Is it the kite? setup or a contol issue?

Cheers!!

Don't try and head to far upwind to start with. Get your board speed up first and then start to point upwind. If it is still happening don't point so far upwind.

Few more things

what size kite?
what model / year kite?
what wind strength?
what weight are you?
what size board?
surf or flat water?
is the kite second hand or brand new?
are all the lines of equal length when the bar is pulled in?

Hey..

Its a 12M '05 Boxer, flat water, purchased new and the lines seem to be equal..im 70KG....wind is about 15K or so...board is 130,

Just wondering if it is the kite or my control really....if it is the kite, i've about had it and am very close to picking up a Cult..

Cheers!!

i had the same problem when starting, just go down wind flying the kite rite through the power window in both ways to get speed up then put the edge in slowerly and set the kite

Less pressure on your front foot,
stand up straight(er) and stop doing the pooman,
twist your shoulders and point them where you want to go,
don't look at your kite,
maintain boardspeed,
and wear your boardshorts over your wetsuit!
