Who here has raleys down.

i know you have to load your edge and pop, but i cant seem to get enough pop and get high enough to bring my legs up behind me..

Do you have to be powered up to the point where you almost cant hold an edge... What's is the secret?

im no expert, but its all in the timing

if you pop well and at the right time you won't have a choice where ur legs go they will just get kicked up backwards and over your head ;)

a few tips:

- go fast. no. in fact go really fast before you pop. bear off and go downwind a little to get more speed helps.
- kite low, like 45 degrees, or lower if you dare
- after the railey, pull the bar back towards you hips to help you get your feet underneath you before landing
- power helps...

Really turn the board upwind at the last moment, it is this stopping motion that gives you pop as the kite is still hammering forward.

Trying in on small swell will help to learn you good or flying the kite higher when learning helps with lift. (more time to get it)

As you get better simply fly kite lower, pick up more speed and you wont need to use the swell.

Shabing shabang .........you are doing raley's.

Un-hook, load your rail, pop, push down on your bar and you can look down too. By pushing down, your weight comes forward and your legs come up behind you. Try to keep your legs straight if you want it to look good.

You can do them hooked in, but they feel way better un-hooked as your totaly laid out.

Some say it looks better to bend your knees when laid out to point the Board skyward or back over your head.

You see this a lot in mags

anyone that could do a kiteloop would know that doing a raley is about the easiest trick in the book. You dont need to go onto the forums and ask for help just do it. Learn it first try.

Hey Monkey Spanker

I though the forums were a place wherby you can get direction from other kiters. Your obviously just so good that you never need to seek advice.

All hail the monkey spanker

bah - a kiteloop is by far the easiest move - both hands on one end of the bar and hey presto you are kitelooping!

anyway back to the topic...
i recon that it looks best when you fully extend your arms and legs then arch your back backwards...making a banana shape.
