I have a kite which the trailing edge is quite badly flogged and a idea hit me:
- diluting PVA wood glue with water so the viscosity is close to water and coating the canopy and letting dry. -- obviously don't let the material dry flat on the ground.
I used to work in the textiles industry and they use apply a foam to the fabric to seal it.
What do you guys think?
Cheers

Go to repco or supercheap auto, and get a spray can of clear engine enamel, VHT was a commonly available brand that I had good results with in the past.
PVA glue won't work. Engine enamel is clear spray on polyurethane, a very similar material to what was used to coat the kite fabric when it was manufactured.
