Hi Guys,

My De-power rope broke yesterday as a result of the metal lining in my bar slowly breaking off over the last couple of sessions. I had fully removed it but the rope was damaged.

I have pulled the bar apart and am trying to get the rope out of the base of the chicken loop.

Does the Ball Bearing race stay up inside or does it come out with the rope? I have given it a good spray with WD40.

I was also going to replace it with suitable rope from a yacht chandlery to try and get something more durable. Any ideas?

The little yellow stopper ball went AWOL...do you really need this?

Cheers, Brendon

Rope pulls out through bottom of chicken loop. Bearings stay in place. Use needle nose pliers.

Cheers BWD,

It was pretty jammed so I cut it off flush with the chicken loop and banged it out.

The bearing came out with the rope.

Any ideas on replacement rope other than manufacturers?

Hold the line kites used to sell the rope off the roll.. Don't know if they still do??
